Journey into the heart of one of North America's most iconic wildernesses. Forest Shuffle: Smoky Mountains expands the acclaimed card-drafting and tableau-building experience of the original game, introducing a vibrant new deck of flora and fauna native to the Great Smoky Mountains. From towering Fraser firs and American chestnut trees to secretive salamanders, black bears, and synchronous fireflies, every card brings unique biodiversity and fresh tactical synergies to your forest ecosystem.
The core gameplay retains the intuitive and rewarding split-card mechanics of the base game. On your turn, you will either draw cards from the deck or clearing, or play a card into your personal woodland tableau. Multi-functional cards can be played either as stately trees or as various animals and plants tucked beneath the top, bottom, left, or right edges of your established trunks. Carefully managing the requirements and preferences of each inhabitant allows you to trigger cascading point bonuses, chain powerful effects, and construct the most ecologically prosperous habitat.
With new regional scoring conditions, symbiotic combos, and specialized wildlife abilities, this expansion seamlessly integrates into the main deck or combines with previous additions to enhance replayability. Discovering the optimal balance between canopy, undergrowth, and forest dwellers creates an engaging puzzle where every decision shapes the survival and beauty of your mountain sanctuary.
Please note: Forest Shuffle: Smoky Mountains is an expansion and requires a copy of the base game Forest Shuffle to play.
